The National Company for the reclamation and cultivation of desert lands was established in Eastern Al Owainat on 25 \ 5 \ 1999 as one of the companies of the national service projects project and reclamation and cultivation of 5000 feddans as a first stage. - The reclamation and agriculture operations were expanded until the area of reclaimed land reached 110,000 feddans during Eleventh phase of implementation until the end of 2015
- Expansion of reclamation and agriculture operations with an area of 1000 feddans in Al-Farafra area as of 25/20/2015 - Expansion of reclamation and agriculture was added with an area of 25000 feddans in Toshka area As of 14 \ 1 \ 2017
